So, das war's dann auch schon mit meiner Scrapstart challenge. Ich hoffe es hat euch allen viel Spass gemacht und ihr habt ordentlich was geschafft oder (wie in meinem Fall) viel Inspiration gefunden.

Einen wunderschönen Freitag wünsche ich euch! Heute gibt es bei uns Zeugnisse! Für Trouble #1 das erste mit "echten" Zensuren. Sie ist schon so gespannt. Zum ersten mal seit langem war es kein Kampf morgens aus dem Bett zu kommen.

Für die heutige Challenge möchte ich dass ihr euch euren Lieblingsscrapper aus den Scrappern die ich vorgestellt habe, raussucht und euch ein anderse LO aus deren Gallerie aussucht und dieses dann liftet. Ich fand es so schwer mich auf nur ein LO zu beschränken.... also, hier ist eure Chance nach mehr.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. Today is the day for Reportcards at school. This will be the first time that Trouble #1 gets "real" grades. She was so excited this morning. For the first time in a long time, it was not a struggle to get her out of bed. Go figure.

Für heute habe ich mir etwas anderes ausgedacht. Und zwar ist hier einer meiner Lieblings-Design Blogs:Housemartin. Lasst euch inspirieren und macht dann ein LO. Sorry, sorry, sorry, ich wollte eigentlich schon früher posten, aber... wie es denn so kommt. Irgendwie war ich den ganzen Tag unterwegs.

Also, das heutige LO ist das letzte "reguläre" LO. Für die nächsten 3 Tage habe ich mir was anderes überlegt. Und es ist auch noch ein weiteres von pinay ako. Ich konnte mich einfach nicht für nur eins ihrer LOs entscheiden. Eigentlich wollte ich auch DIES HIER noch posten, aber.... ich dachte dann dass drei dann doch vielleicht zuviel ist.

Sorry, sorry, sorry, I meant to post way earlier, but... life interfered. Somehow I was gone all day.

Anyway, today is the last "regular" LO. I thought of something else to do for the next three days. And it is another one by the fabulous pinay ako. Really, I couldn't decide on just one LO. I actually have another LO of hers that I just LOVE, this one, but then I thought three would be too many.

okay, zuerst einmal... mein "kleiner" Bruder hat heute Geburtstag. Also, herzlichen Glückwunsch, Alex! Er wird mich hierfür umbringen.... aber was solls....

okay, first things first. It's my "little" brother's birthday today. Happy Birthday, Alex! He'll kill me for this... but heck...




Zweitens, das heutige LO ist von einer talentierten Scrapperin aus Schweden: Peterlina. Ich schaue nicht allzu oft bei SIStv vorbei, aber dieses LO ist mir in der Gallerie aufgefallen.

Drittens.... sieht wohl so aus als ob Trouble #3, der ja eigentlich nur ein Pflegehund sein sollte, wohl sein Zuhause bei uns gefunden hat. Ich war heute früh mit ihm zum Tierarzt zum Impfen und Chippen. Also... er ist unser!

Third.... looks like Trouble #3 who was just going to be a foster dog, is going to be a forever dog. I took him to the vet this morning to get his shots and to get chipped. So... he's ours.

Viertens... ne, gibts eigentlich nicht.

Fourth... no, don't really have anything else.

Ist es schlimm dass ich schon wieder soweit bin dass ich wünsche die Woche wäre schon vorbei?

Wir liegen im Endspurt. Kaum zu glauben, aber der Januar ist fast vorbei.

Für heute ein LO von Vicky G, einer Scrapperin aus New Zealand. Irgendwie ist mir das gar nicht aufgefallen als ich die LOs ausgesucht habe, wieviele nicht-amerikanische LOs dabei sind. Das gefällt mir... Scrapping ist eindeutig international.

Endlich Freitag! Ich sag euch... diese Woche schien endlos. Selbst heute früh war es schwer aus dem Bett zukommen, zumal ich schlecht geschlafen habe. Grund: ich musste mein Bett mit Kind und Hund teilen. Und irgendwie hat der Hund es geschafft das halbe Bett zu belegen. Kind hat es geschafft sich zwischen Hund und mich zu schlängeln. Also hing ich so ziemlich an der Bettkante und durfte den beiden beim Schnarchen zuhören.
Finally Friday! This week seemed endless. It was super hard to get up this morning, since I hadn't slept too well. Reason: I had to share my bed with kid and dog. And somehow the dog managed to take over half the bed. And the kid managed to sneak in between the dog and me, so that left me hanging onto the bed for dear life, listening to the other two snoring.

Hier ist mein Lift vom 16. Januar. Ich werde erst nächstes Jahr 40, also habe ich ja noch etwas Zeit meine Liste mit den 40 Dingen abzuarbeiten. Die Liste ist übrigens auf Vellum gedruckt und dann aufgerollt.... mit dem Ribbon auf der rechten Seite festgebunden.

Here's my lift for January 16. I am not turning 40 until next years, so I have a little time to cross off things of my list of 40 things to do before I turn 40, which btw was printed on vellum and then rolled up and tied to the LO with ribbon... there on the right side of the LO. See it?


Das LO für heute ist von Stacymichu. Ich liebe die leuchtenden Farben in den drei verschieden grossen Fotos mit den sanften Farben des Papiers. Wunderschön!

Heute hat mein Papa Geburtstag und meine Mutter darf für 48 Stunden aus dem Krankenhaus. Also gibt es heute abend tatsächlich ein Geburtstagsessen. Ich muss mich also mal ans Kochen machen.

Today is my dad's birthday and my mom gets to leave the hospital for 48 hours. So we are going to have a birthday dinner. Yeah! But that also means, that I better start cooking.

Noch gut eine Woche und dieser Monat ist auch schon wieder vorbei. Ich hoffe meine kleine Challenge hat euch (und tut es auch weiter) viel Inspiration gegeben auf dass dieses Jahr zumindest scraptechnisch ein gutes wird.

Just about a week more and this month is over. I hope my little challenge has (and will continue to) inspired you and started the year of well, scrapping wise.

Ich habe gestern auch gescrappt, und zwar gleich inspiriert durch das gestrige LO von DrNike50.

I managed to get some scrapping done last night, inspired by yesterday's LO by DrNike50.


Es war ungewohnt für mich mit "so wenig" zu scrappen, aber... bei dem Foto bedarf es nicht wirklich viel, oder?

It was weird to scrap with "so little", but... with this photo, I didn't really need much, don't you agree?

Das LO für heute ist von Fevvers. Mir ist dieses LO an einem typischen Hamburger Regentag aufgefallen und ich war begeistert wie die Regenfotos auf dem LO so ganz anders aussehen.

The LO for today is by Fevvers. I noticed this LO on a rainy day, so typical for Hamburg. I loved how the rain pictures in the LO look so totally different than the usual.

Hach, ich habe endlich auch mal wieder gescrappt. Meine Inspiration war das LO von Muffyvan. Ihre kleine Tochter ist einfach zu süß, aber ich hatte keine süßen Fotos von meinen beiden... die im Moment ihren Namen (Trouble #1 & #2) alle Ehre machen. Aber, wie wäre es mit Welpenbildern? Naja, irgendwie ist Rajah kein Welpe mehr. Oder wann hören Hunde auf Welpen zu sein? Egal, ich fand das Foto so niedlich, es musste verscrappt werden.

Yeah, I managed to scrap again. My inspiration was the LO by Muffyvan. Her little girl is just so adorable, but I didn't have any little girl pictures to scrap. So, how about a puppy picture? Actually, I am not sure Rajah is really a puppy anymore... when do they stop being puppies? He's about 7 months old now.

Und das LO für heute ist dieses hier, ein letztes WeihnachtsLO für diese Challenge, von DrNike50. Warum dieses LO? Tja, wir hatten schon WeihnachtsLOs. Wir hatten schon digitale LOs. Aber, wie wäre es mit einem LO von einem männlichen Scrapper? Um ehrlich zu sein... das war nicht der Grund warum mir dies LO aufgefallen war (und was mir erst auffiel als ich Bill anschrieb ob ich sein LO posten dürfe). Was mir besonders gefällt ist das grosse Detailbild, mit den kleinen Fotos und überlappenden Journaling.

The LO for today is this one, one last Christmas LO for this Challenge, by DrNike50. Why this LO? Well... we had ChristmasLOs. We had digital LOs. But... how about a LO by a male scrapper? To be honest... that was not the reason I picked this LO (and what I only noticed when I wrote to Bill to ask his permission to post the LO for the Challenge), what I really liked was the large detailpicture with the overlapping smaller pictures and journaling. Fabulous!

Ein neuer Tag, eine neue Woche.... ich war noch so gar nicht für den Montag bereit, aber was solls...

Das heutige LO ist ein Weihnachts-LO von JSaulsbury. Eigentlich bin ich ja schon durch mit Weihnachten... der Weihnachtsbaum ist endlich abgeschmückt und wieder im Keller verstaut (ja, ja, ich bin bekennender "Falschbaumler"). Fast alle restliche Deko ist auch schon weggepackt. Nur die Weihnachtsbilder sind noch nicht verscrappt. Liegt im Prinzip daran dass ich kein "Eventscrapper" bin und mich mit Bildern von Festtagen, Geburtstagen, etc. unwahrscheinlich schwer tue, aber vielleicht schaffe ich es ja noch so das eine oder andere Weihnachtsbild zu verscrappen. Aber, bloss weil das heutige LO ein WeihnachtsLO ist heisst das ja noch lange nicht dass ihr auch Weihnachtsbilder verscrappen müsst.

Another day, a new week.... I am so not ready for Monday, but... nothing I can do about it.

Today's LO is a Christmas LO von JSaulsbury. I am done with Christmas... finally took the Christmas tree down and most decorations are put away. But, I haven't scrapped any Christmas pictures yet. Probably because I am not an "event-scrapper" and I usually have a hard time scrapping pictures of holidays and birthdays and such. But, maybe I will get around to scrapping a few Christmas pictures yet.

Now, just because this is a Christmas LO, doesn't mean you have to scrap Christmas pictures, right?

hach, das war schön! AUSSCHLAFEN!!!! Nichteinmal der Hund hat mich aufgeweckt... denn der hat neben mir geratzt. Nach einem Cappucino und dem Hundespaziergang gehts mir jetzt gut.

Ich habe gestern abend so ganz spontan, wärend ich unter der Dusche stand.... quatsch, scherz beiseite... überlegt, meine Scrapecke im Wohnzimmer umzubauen. Damit bin ich natürlich gestern nacht nicht fertig geworden. Also geht es heute damit weiter. So ganz gefällt es mir noch nicht, aber wenigstens hab ich überall mal Staub wischen können. LOL.

Wow, that was great. I was able to sleep in!!! Not even the dog woke me... because he was snoring right next to me. Now, after a cappucino and walk with the dog, I am feeling good.

I decided last night, totally spontaneous while I was in the shower... just kidding.... I decided to move things around in my scrapcorner in the living room. Of course I didn't finish last night, so that's what's on my plate for today. I am not totally happy with it quite yet, but at least I got to dust. LOL.

Also, für heute habe ich ein LO von HelpMeRonda. Mir fiel dieses LO schon vor einer Weile auf und ich liebe all die kleinen Details... soviel Inspiration!

Ich sag euch... ich kleb mir ein Schild auf's Auto mit der Aufschrift "Liz's Taxi". Ich komm mir vor als ob ich gar nicht mehr aus dem Auto rauskomme, weil ich immer den einen oder die andere irgendwo hinfahren muss. So auch heute früh... ich musste meinen Vater zum Einkaufen fahren. Danach habe ich mir erstmal eine Stunde lang abgemeldet und bin mit dem Hund raus auf's Feld. Entspannung!

Wie auch immer.... heute gibt's wieder etwas Schönes zum liften, diesmal von muffyvan, einer Scrapperin aus Singapur.

I am telling you... I am going to put a sign on my car with "Liz's taxi" on it. Seems like I am in my car ALL THE TIME, driving someone here, pickung someone else up from there... So, this morning, I had to take my dad shopping. After that I "escaped" and went for an hour long walk with the dog. Total Relaxation!

Schon wieder zwischen Tür und Angel...

Ihr wisst gar nicht wie froh ich bin dass heute Freitag ist. Heute ist auch nochmal stressig, aber dann kann ich wenigstens zweimal ausschlafen und muss nicht schon um 6h aus dem (warmen) Bett.

Das heutige LO von Scap Tigz ist wieder ein digitales. Irgendwie finde ich mehr und mehr digitale LOs die mich total begeistern. Warum? Weil ich mehr und mehr LOs finde die ich auch ganz "traditionell" mit Papier und Kleber umsetzen kann. Das gefällt mir. Schaut Euch mal Christine's Gallerie an... fantastisch!

Another short post again... you have no idea how happy I am that it is Friday. Another stressfull day today and then at least I can sleep in for two days and not have to get up at 6am. I am just not a morning person.
Today's LO by Scap Tigz is another digital one. Somehow I am finding more and more digi LOs that I totally love. Why? Because I am finding more and more that I inspire me, though I am still sticking with paper and glue. I like that. Check out Christine's gallery... fabulous!

Also wirklich, warum muss die Schule schon so früh anfangen? Die absolute Hölle für eine Nachteule wie mich.
Ich sag euch... wir müssen um 7h los damit Trouble #1 um 7:20h in der Klasse sitzen kann. Das ist sowas von unverschämt früh, da kann ich es den kids noch nicht einmal übel nehmen wenn sie morgens nicht in die Gänge kommen. Aber andererseits... ich musste in meiner gesamten Schulzeit auch immer so früh los, wenn nicht noch früher, hatte schliesslich mindestens 1 Stunde Fahrt zur Schule. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, aber ich bin mir ziemlich sicher dass ich die ersten Stunden meisstens nur im Halbschlaf erlebt habe. Aber wie heisst das so schön? Was dich nicht umbringt, macht dich stärker. Hoffen wir's mal.

Really, why does school have to start so early? It is absolute hell for a night owl like me! I am telling you... we have to leave the house at 7am so Trouble #1 can sit in class by 7:20. It is so freakin' early, I cannot even blame the kids for dawdling in the morning. On the other hand... throughtout my entire school career, I had to leave the house this early, or earlier, since I had a one hour commute into the city. I cannot even remember, but I am pretty sure I was halfway asleep the first couple of periods. But how's that saying? That what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger? Let's hope so.

Wie auch immer, dieses LO von Kimmy. Ich bin sicherlich voreingenommen... grins---- aber ich liebe dieses LO von ihr. Super yummy!

Scrapstart ins Neue Jahr! Scrapstart into the New Year! January 12

Mann, der Tag fing vielleicht an: mal abgesehen vom üblichen Meckern von Trouble #1 & #2 wegen des frühen Aufstehens... da hab ich sie dann endlich soweit und aus der Tür, da springt mein Auto nicht an. Gott sei Dank, der ADAC kam relativ schnell und nur T#1 hat die erste Stunde verpasst, T#2 kam noch pünktlich. Nach dem Stress musste ich mir erstmal ein Schokocroissant genehmigen. Soviel also zum Neujahrsvorsatz doch gesünder zu leben.

Man, this day didn't start so well: aside from the usual whining and complaining by Trouble #1 & #2 about having to get up so early... when I finally had them ready and out the door, my car wouldn't start. Thank God for ADAC Roadside Assistance! They arrived fairly quickly, got the car started and only T#1 missed first period, T#2 (who doesn't start until 2nd period) still made it on time. After all this stress I had to get myself a chocolate croissant... so much for the New Year's Resolution to live healthier.

Wie auch immer, auch für heute gibt es wieder ein wunderschönes LO,von einer Scrapperin aus Schweden: Augusti_73. Auch sie hat einen wunderbar farbenfrohen Stil, und obwohl sie digital scrappt, auch als Papierscrapper kann man fantastisch Inspiration aus ihren LOs ziehen.

Anyway, for today I picked another lovely LO, this time by a scrapper from Sweden: Augusti_73. She, too, has a wonderfully colorful Style, and though she is a digi scrapper, I think paper scrappers can still find lots of inspiration in her LOs.

-Mein Vater ist (endlich) aus Indien zurück.
-Rajah (aka Trouble #3) macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Aber er ist so ein lieber Hund dass ich es wirklich geniesse ihn bei mir zuhaben.
-Habt ihr die neue Challenge bei STM-Germany? gesehen? Auch diese Woche habe ich ein LO beigesteuert, allerdings ist das Bild nicht so gut geworden... habe einfach kein vernünftiges Licht gehabt.
-ich habe einen grossen Topf Hühnersuppe gekocht. Yum! Ab und zu brauche ich so etwas einfach mal.
-und, weil ich bis jetzt noch gar nicht zum Werbung machen gekommen bin... bis Ende Februar läuft bei Stampin'Up noch Sale-a-Bration.. Pro €60 Bestellung gibt es ein wunderhübsches, limitiertes, Stempelset kostenlos. Also, meldet euch bei mir, wenn ihr eine Bestellung aufgeben wollt. Auch Termine für Workshops, sowohl für Karten als auch Scrapbooking oder auch einfach nur mal zum Schnuppern und Ausprobieren sind noch frei.

-My dad is (finally) back from India.
-Rajah (aka Trouble #3) is staying true to his name, but he is such a sweet dog overall, that I am really enjoying having him around.
-Did you see the new challenge at STM-Germany? I did a LO for this song, but the picture didn't turn out so well, just couldn't get any decent shots. Will have to try again.
-I made a big pot of chicken soup. Yum! Ever so often I just need comfort food.

Happy Sunday!

Nachdem ich gerade 1 Stunde lang mit dem Hund über die Felder gezogen bin fühle ich mich jetzt richtig erfrischt. Komisch... morgens freu ich mich eigentlich immer auf den Hundespaziergang.... abends... eher nicht. Gestern bin ich glatt beim Fernsehen auf dem Sofa eingeschlafen und erst aufgewacht als der Hund meinte er müsse es sich auf mir gemütlich machen. Aber da (um 1h früh) wollten weder Hund noch ich nochmal raus. Naja, irgendwie werden Trouble #3 und ich schon unseren Rhythmus finden.

After walking through the fields with the dog for an hour, I am feeling totally refreshed. Funny, in the mornings I like walking the dog... at night... not so much. Last night I fell asleep on the sofa watching tv and didn't wake up until the dog decided to get comfy on top of me. And by that time (about 1am) neither the dog nor I wanted to go outside. Well, one of these days Trouble #3 and I are going to find our rhythm.

Die letzten Tage waren ja sehr international, also bleiben wir beim heutigen LO mal zuhause. Und zwar habe ich heute eine Farbexplosion von niemandem anderen als Andrea Gomoll.

We were rather international the last couple of days, so today we are going to stay closer to home with today's inspiration LO. I love this "color explosion" by none other than Andrea Gomoll.

Hach, heute habe ich einen super anstrengenden Tag vor mir, also nur ganz kurz...

eine Scrapperin die ich erst vor kurzem entdeckt habe, die mich aber absolut begeistert hat: pinay ako von den Phillipinen. Ich verrate jetzt schon, ich liebe ihre LOs so sehr, dass ich mich nicht nur für ein LO entscheiden konnte. Ihr werdet also im Laufe dieser Challenge noch eins ihrer LOs sehen.

Well, today is going to be a super busy day for me, so just really quick....

a scrapper I just found a short while ago, but whose LOs I love:pinay ako from the Phillipines. And I can tell you already, that I love her LOs so much, that I couldn't just pick one LO to lift. So you will see another one of her LOs later on in this challenge.

Ich hoffe ihr habt nicht schon zu ungeduldig auf ein neues LO gewartet. Ich traf meine Nachbarin heute früh nachdem ich die Troubles zur Schule gebracht hatte und sie lud mich zu einem Kaffee ein. Naja... aus einem Kaffee wurde dann eine ganze Kanne, und jetzt ist es fast Mittag. Aber, das nächste LO, von einer meiner liebsten Scrapperinnen, Irene Tan aus Malaysia war das Warten glaube ich wert. Ich bewundere Irene's Liebe zum Detail und die immer neuen Techniken, die sie auch noch wunderbar erklärt. Das heutige LO also:

I hope you haven't been waiting too long for the new LO. I ran into my neighbor this morning, when I came back from taking the Troubles to school and she invited me in for coffee. And, well... one coffee turned into a whole pot and now it is almost noon. But I think this next LO by one of my favorite scrappers Irene Tan from Malaysia is definitely worth the wait. I admire Irene's love for detail and always new techniques, which she also explains wonderfully. So, today's LO:



Und, ich versuche schon seit Tagen mein LO vom 3. Januar zu posten...Mit diesem Lift habe ich mich schwergetan. Ich war schon fertig, aber dann gefiel es mir doch nicht. Irgendetwas fehlte noch. Dann habe ich hier noch ein bisschen, da noch ein bisschen... ich bin immernoch nicht ganz glücklich, aber jetzt ist es fertig.

I've been trying to upload my LO from Jan. 3 for a few days. I had a hard time with this one. I was done but then I didn't like it after all. Something was missing, so I added a little of this, a little of that. I am still not quite happy, but.... well... it's done.

Sorry, im Moment haperts bei mir ein wenig an der Zeit. Ich versuche bei allen die Links zu ihren LOs hinterlassen vorbeizuschauen und die LOs zu kommentieren, aber wenn ich eins übersehe, seht's mir bitte nach, okay? Wenn etwas weniger Stress ist, schaue ich auf jeden Fall nochmal.

I am so sorry, right now I am a bit short on time. I try to see all the LOs linked in the comments, but if I miss your LO, please forgive me. I will make sure to see ALL the LOs before we are done, I promise.

Das LO für heute ist von novalen, eine Scrapperin aus Frankreich. Mir gefiel an diesem LO besonders das tolle Mustermix. Ganz mein Ding. Und ich will euch "eher nicht der Farbschmiererei-geneigten" Scrappern (grins... ihr wisst schon wen ich meine) ja auch mal was gutes tun, oder?

The LO I picked for today is by novalen, a very talented French Scrapper. I noticed the LO because of the fun patternmix. Totally my style. And then... I wanted to do something nice to those of you who are just not so "into smooshing paint around and making a mess"



Aber, das wollte ich noch anmerken.... bloss weil ein LO Farbschmiererei oä beinhaltet, heisst das ja noch lange nicht dass man ausgerechnet diesen Aspekt liften muss. Ich persönlich suche mir gerne LOs zum Liften aus, die einen (oder mehrere) Aspekte haben die ich sonst nicht benutze, aber... man kann ja auch Sachen raussuchen wie ein Farbschema, oder die Anordnung der Bilder, oder den Titel, oder auch nur eine bestimmte Emotion die ein LO wiedergibt. Also, wenn ihr absolut nichts mit Acrylfarbe am Hut habt... lasst sie liegen. Ihr müsst euch nicht quälen.

But, that's something I wanted to note, just because a LO has a lot of paint and such, doesn't mean you have to lift exactly this aspect of it, or include this aspect in your lift. Me, personally, I like to lift LOs that make me try new things, but if that's not your thing... don't sweat it. Pick something you like, such as the color scheme, or the layout of the pictures, or the title, or just the emotion the LO conveys. So, if you are just not into using paints (or whatever else it may be), don't torture yourself. Remember, this is supposed to be fun.

Einen guten Morgen wünsche ich euch! Ich muss gleich mit dem Hund raus, brrrr, mir graust, denn es ist ziemlich kalt, aber... muss ja sein. Also, das heutige LO ist von 4squirts. Ich liebe ihre farbenfrohen LOs.

Good Morning to you! I have to go walk the dog in just a bit... brrrr, I don't want to, it is awfully cold out, but... no arguing with the dog on that one, right? Today's LO is by 4squirts. I love her colorful style.



Und vielleicht schaffe ich es ja heute meine Lifts hochzuladen. Meine Mutter wurde gestern am Herzen operiert und ich war nicht wirklich in Stimmung mich mit Scrappen zu beschäftigen.

And hopefully I will get my LOs uploaded today. My Mom had heartsurgery yesterday and I wasn't really in the mood to deal with Scrapping.

Okay, es ist Zeit für LO #5. Ich habe mit Weihnachten für dies Jahr abgeschlossen. Ich muss zwar noch den Weihnachtsbaum abbauen und einiges an Deko wegräumen, aber... Weihnachten ist vorbei. ABER, jedes Jahr möchte ich ein LO über meine aktuelle Weihnachtskarte machen und wenn ich mich dann hinsetze um das LO zu machen, hab ich keine Lust mehr. Wie auch immer, ich bezweifle dass es in diesem Jahr anders sein wird, aber das ist der Grund weshalb mir das LO von I*Love*Hello*Kitty aufgefallen ist. Also, viel Spass beim Liften.

Okay, it is time for LO #5! Personally, I am done with Christmas. I still have to take the tree down and some of the decorations, but really... I am done with Christmas. BUT, every year I want to do a LO about the Christmas cards I sent out and every year when I sit down to do it, I don't feel like it anymore. Anyway, I am sure it is not going to be any different this year, but that is the reason I noticed today's LO by I*Love*Hello*Kitty....well, other than the fabulous layering. So, have at it. Have fun with it.



Mein Lift vom 3.1. kann ich erst nachher posten. Ich dachte zwar gestern dass ich fertig bin und habe mein LO fotografiert, aber je mehr ich mir mein LO angesehen habe, desto mehr fand ich dass noch etwas fehlte. Also habe ich weiter gemacht.

I will have to post my lift of Jan. 3 later. I thought I was done with the LO and took a picture but the more I looked at it, the more I thought something was missing. So.... I kept going.

Okay, dies wird heute bloss ein kurzes posting. Ich bin müde und will endlich ins Bett. Und ich weiss, wenn ich bis morgen warte um zu posten, wird es zu spät. Ich muss meine Mutter wieder ins Krankenhaus bringen (am Montag steht die HerzOP an) ... wer weiss wie lange das dauern wird.

okay, this is going to be a short post. I am tired and really want to go to bed. And I know if I wait till tomorrow to post, it will get too late in the day. I have to take my mom back to the hospital in the morning (she is having heart surgery on Monday), so who knows how long that is going to take.

Und weiter gehts. Diesmal habe ich ein LO ausgesucht welches ich erst vor ein paar Tagen bei 2Peas entdeckt habe. Auch diese LO ist ein digitales, aber es schliesst irgendwie an das von Nat an. Hier also LO#3 von cmnb: "Just because"

And on we go. This time I picked a LO which I just noticed a couple of days ago over at 2Peas. It is another digital LO, but somehow it connects right with Nat's LO. So here is LO#3 by cmnb: "Just because"



Ich arbeite noch an LO#2. So langsam wirds was. LO#1 ist fertig. Ich habe mal wieder, nach langer Zeit, mit meinen geliebten Danyeela Papieren gearbeitet. Ein Jahresrückblick wie Trouble #2 es sieht.

I am still working on LO#2. It's coming together... slowly but surely. LO#1 is done. I got out my beloved Danyeela papers again. It had been a while... The LO is a review of 2008 according to Trouble #2.




In other news....

my mom was released from the hospital yesterday for three days. I have to take her back on Sunday, and surgery is scheduled for Monday. She is doing pretty good right now, but after the surgery she will be in the hospital for at least 10 days and after that another 3 weeks rehab.

Trouble #3... stays true to his name. He has chewed through 2 leashes already. I went and bought a harness and a retractable leash. Hopefully it will work better. Also, I bought three sugar coated jelly donuts for the girls and me (for you Germans out there... I bought "Berliner"). It's tradition here in Germany to eat those for New Year. Anyway, I put them on a plate and put the plate on the stove. Oops, big mistake. Somehow they disappeared. And I KNOW it wasn't the kids... they are not such good liars and really... the kitchen floor was spotless. They would have left a mess with all that powdered sugar. Mmmmhhhh, what else is he doing? Oh, he decided to sleep in my bed. No biggie, I always had cats and dogs sleep in my bed, but really, does he have to put his head on my pillow and snuggle up to me like one of the kids?

Trouble #1 and #2... are driving me nuts. I have been dragging them along on my morning walk with T#3 and that's been helpful. At least they get outside for about one hour a day. The weather has been fabulous: Cold, dry and really clear air, sometimes the wind can get a bit too cold, but still, much better than any kind of icky, rainy, stormy, yucky, typical northern German winter weather. Anyway, the morning walks are good for them, but the rest of the day? Forget about it. The fight and complain and whine and pick on each other all day long. I cannot wait for school to start again. Only another 6 days!!!

Santa brought us (probably like everybody else... did he get a discount?) a Wii for Christmas. And, thought the Wii Fit was backordered and not expected to ship until the middle of January, it arrived on the 31st. And the girls love it. Me... not sure yet. It wasn't really encouraging when my Mii turned fat during the initial Wii Fit assessment. Oh well...

Oh, my Christmas journal... remember? I was going to finish out the last 6 days, but somehow, it felt finished with the 31st page. So I think I might just add a "looking forward to 2009 page and call it a day.

Anyway, that's about it from my neck of the woods. I need to go and walk the dog.

Und jetzt zum 2. LO für Januar. Wer meinen Blog mehr oder weniger regelmässig liest, weiss dass Nat Kalbach einer meiner besten Freundinnen ist. Und so sehr wie ich sie als Person liebe, ich liebe auch ihren funky, vielseitigen, bunten Scrapstil. Und auch wenn es nicht so sehr euer Ding ist mit Farbe "rumzuschmieren" oder mit Strukturen und neuen Techniken zu experimentieren, ich denke dass ihr trotzdem viel Inspiration aus ihren LOs ziehen könnt.

And on to the second LO for January. If you read my blog somewhat regularly, you know that Nat Kalbach is one of my dearest friends. And just as much as I love her as a person, I absolutely adore her funky, ecclectic, colorful style of scrapping. And even if you are not into smushing paint around, or experimenting with structure and dimension, I still think you can pull inspiration from her LOs.




Ich werde mich jetzt noch ein Weilchen an meinen Scraptisch setzen und hoffentlich mein LO fertig kriegen.

I am going to sit down at my scrapdesk and hopefully finish my LO.
