Vacation Recap Pt. 2

Though we spent most of our time in NYC, we did take a couple of trips out to the beach..... here are some pictures. Jones Beach is such a nice beach. The kids had a great time and couldn't get enough. Me, on the other hand, I did not really enjoy the water. It was FREEZING!!! So I spent my days reading and just hanging out.

Have a good one.

Vacation Recap Pt. 1

I love walking around NY. And I was lucky enough to have a few days here and there to do just that.

On one of those days I took the subway all the way to the last stop and then the ferry over to Staten Island. There are not many things for free in NY, but the ferry ride is. So, I had myself a nice little 45 minutes on the water. The day was pretty hazy, but I still took lots of pictures.

Ellis Island

the Verrazano Bridge

Battery Park

Ferry Terminal

I am still trying to figure out which pictures to print. As much as I love having digital pictures, and lots of them... oye, how will I choose?

Have a good one.

I'm back!!!!

Completely exhausted from travelling, still tired from the time change and not ready to tackle the ginormous mountain of laundry... but we had such a good time in NY.

I took a bazillion pictures. Considering I had three cameras with me.... you know, each for its own purpose, LOL, that's not surprising. But, had I had access to a computer after the first week, I am sure it would have been many more. As it was, I was limited to the memorycards I had. I haven't had time to edit any pictures yet, so these will have to do.... totally random....

More later.

Have a good one.

Sign of life...

not having internet access is hell. HELL!!! I tell you.

Luckily I can check my emails here and there, but anything else...

So, just a quick update. I will be home in 10 days, so after I come up for air from doing laundry and such, I will do a proper update with photos and all.

New York is fabulous as always. Love this city. LOVE THIS CITY!!!

Trouble #1 & #2 are having a great time, but unfortch are not city girls like me. They like the city, but would much rather hang out at the beach or at the park. Silly! Especially when there are shoe sales. And scrapbook stores. Actually, I have not gone crazy when it comes to either shoes or scrapbook supplies. But... might have to do some of both later this week.

Other than that, we are off to a (from all accounts) fabulous waterpark in Riverhead, NY, tomorrow. We have a boat cruise around Manhattan planned for Monday, a day at the American Girl Doll Store for later in the week, and I have an appointment with a headhunter. The finance industry is not doing so hot right now, but heck... never hurts to talk to people. Oh, and like I said, I definitely need to get some shopping time in there.

So, have a good one. See ya in 10 days.
