Slowly....

but surely... I can't seem to scrap quite as quickly as I am used to, but I am still pleased with my LOs. So I suppose that's okay.

For Christmas I made calendars for the grandparents. I didn't have time to scrap 36 original LOs, so I resized my favorite LOs to the proper size (about 28x28 cm) and then had them printed on photopaper. Since the standard poster format is 30x45 cm (I think), I had all this white space to play with-genius me...okay, quit your chuckles...just made photocollages with different pictures that I liked. When I got my printed posters back, I cut off the LOs and mounted those in the calendars, and had a bunch of odd sized pictures left-over. Anyway, long story short... that's how I got all the pictures I have been scrapping lately. I love having those different sizes rather than standard 4x6.

Here's the latest:

Materials: CS Bazzill, PP Danyeela Pattern Paper/DCWV Rockstar, Hambly Overlay, Autumn Leaves rub-ons, HS chipboard alphas, Lace from my lovely friend Simone and MM(?) sparkly alpha stickers. Lift of a KR LO.

Have a good one.

All quiet....

here. Not much to report.

Trouble #1 and #2 finally got the okay to return to school. YEAH!!!!

I have been having trouble sleeping, feeling kind of restless and unfocused, so consequently I am too tired to scrap much. I only managed to get one more LO done. Nothing exciting, but I love the picture.

Materials: PP Creative Imaginations, AC Thickers, Imaginisce crochet flowers.

Have a good one.

Completely uneventful day

and nothing to write about, so here's two more LOs, which brings my total for the year to 20.
Materials: PP all Dream Street, misc. buttons, stickers and flowers.

Materials: All Creative Imaginations, except for the black circle rub-on around the photo, and the little red tag to the right of the photo.

The week is finally over!

I had a doctor's appointment this morning and took T#1 and #2 over to their grandparents for about 1 1/2 hours... you wouldn't believe how much I enjoyed that time out of the house, doctor's appointment or not. Don't get me wrong, I love my girls with all my heart, but sick and cranky, bored to tears, .... not good.

Anyway, last night was a Stampin' Up Open Night event here in Hamburg. I was bummed that I had to miss it. But my mom is not quite up to par yet health wise after her bout with shingles on their trip to India, so I didn't have a sitter.
Now that I am done with school and internship, I really need to get on the stick with getting my SU business going. So, if any of you are in need of some seriously fabulous stamps, give me a call, send me an e-mail, let me know.

I have also been feeling the need to do some shoe shopping. Well, I haven't quite "shopped" yet, I bid on a couple of things on e-bay.... we will see if that works out. In other "shoe news", (I can't believe I haven't mentioned it before) for Christmas, my MIL sent me my first matching purse/shoe combo. I can't believe I never had a matching purse and shoes. These are super cool peep toe slingbacks, about 3 1/2 in heel, in bronze! Never mind the description.... here's a picture.

Trouble #2 was insistent on taking pictures of those shoes on my feet.... but it being winter, my pedicure was seriously lacking and I didn't want to inflict those picures on you.

Other than that, here are LOs #16, #17 and #18 of 2008.
Materials: PP KI Love Elsie, Stamps MM, Heidi Swapp and Stampin'Up, KI rub-ons, Imagination Project coasters letters, SU and Ranger Ink, MM and Pebbles Inc. acrylic paint

Materials: PP American Crafts, CS Bazzill, KI alpha stickers, 7gypsies labels, misc. butons, rick rack, rub ons, and tag.

Materials: PP Fancy Pants and Foofala, Foofala tags, 7gypsies stickers.

Have a good one.

Things are looking up

T#1 and #2 though still bored out of their minds, and having watched way too many movies, are feeling better. Still contagious, but better.

That means I had a chance to get my scrapcorner cleaned up a bit more. Here are LOs 14 and 15 for the Jumpstart January Challenge. #14 is a lift of Jamie Waters' LO Before and after.
Materials used: PP Basic Grey "Obscure", Doodlebug frills, Imagination Project coasters, sticker tape, and MM (?) velvet alpha stickers.

LO 15 is a lift of Cindy Liebel's LO Proud Papa.
Materials used: PP Autumn Leaves/Foofala and Prima, random calendar page, Petals&Possibilities metal letters, AC Thickers, Grungeboard.... Love that stuff... Ranger distress ink, SU mini brads and lace from my lovely friend Simone.

Both LOs are also for an ABC challenge at Savvy'n' Sassy. The first challenge was to use an "A" manufacturer and to use a sheet of PP as background. LO #15 is my "A" LO. The second challenge was to use Basic Grey, hence LO 14.

Yeah, I am still alive!

But barely. And if I don't run away from home by the end of the week, I think me and Trouble #1 and #2 are going to be at each others' throats for sure.

T#1 and #2 are sick. And it's contagious. And it takes about 7-10 days to NOT be contagious anymore. You know how awful it is to have these two home from school, without a way for them to get rid of all their energy since they cannot go outside and play? Since they don't get to hang out with their friends? They are miserable, T#1 more so than #2, and they are bored, and they are cranky, and they are just awful to be around right now.

All in all it took 4 trips to 3 doctors, to find out that they do not have shingles, or chickenpox but impetigo... yup, I had to look that up, too. Never heard of it, hope to never hear of it again.

In happier news, I rearranged my bedroom/scraproom and I like it so much better. I still need to find homes for quite a bit of my "stuff" since though I have more space, I have less storage space. Not ideal, but I like the set-up much better. And really, I do have to get rid of some of this stuff. I am serious when I say that some of it has moved with me 4 times!

And, after I finally had cleared of my desk enough to actually be able to scrap a bit... this is LO 12 & 13 for the Jumpstart January Challenge. All PP/CS from an old Scrapologie Kit. The brown letters on #13 are MM.

Now I am off to bed. I didn't get much sleep the last couple of nights. T#1 & T#2 are in a fair amount of pain, so they keep getting up during the night.

Have a good one.

I am with the band...

well, I have been a bit quiet on the blogging front. Sorry about that, but between company here, kids returning from their visit to India, piles... no, make that mountains of laundry, then Trouble #1 with a mysterious rash, several visits to the doctor, a tentative diagnosis of shingles... but not really, because shingles look different, then chicken pox, but not really, because chickenpox don't usually look like this.... and now Trouble #2 with similar spots, but hers looking more like "traditional" chicken pox.... oye...

so, I am good for a "fluff post" today.

Andrea posted this fun idea on her blog: create your personal album cover.

I cheated a bit, because my album title is 5 words instead of four, but hey.... I kind of like it.

I am also in the process of reorganizing my scraproom, and need to clean out desparately. Oh Fun!

Have a good one.

Happy Sunday y'all

Trouble #1 and #2 returned from their vacation to India today. I am glad they are home, because I missed them a wee bit, but I am also so grateful that they get to experience a) these travels to faraway places and b) the closeness of our family. We might be spread out all over the world... I mean, we are talking every continent except South America (if that is considered a separate continent), but we are an incredibly large, close knit family. We might not see each other for years, because of distance and such, but when we do get together... watch out! And Trouble #1 and #2 got smack in the middle of all this, because my youngest cousin got married and pretty much everyone.... I mean EVERYONE in my family was there.

So, anyway, we did a late Christmas/birthday gift opening and then they were pretty much out. Too tired, too exhausted, they fell asleep as soon as they sat down to watch a movie. Hopefully they will sleep through the night and be wide awake come tomorrow morning, because yeah! they have to be back in school at 7:45 sharp (after missing the first three days already).

And just for good measure, here's my 11th LO for the year, just trying to get some Halloween pictures (finally) scrapped.

Have a good one.

Caught up

yeah, as of last night I had 10 LOs for 10 days.

Both for the Jumpstart January Challenge. Just some beach pictures from last fall.

PP MME, KI, and HS chipboard

PP K&Company, misc. alphas, MM blossoms and brads, 7gypsies stamp. The blossoms seem really bright in the scan, but are less so IRL.

Since I have company coming today and Trouble #1 and #2 will be returning from their vacation this weekend, I don't think I will have much time to enjoy my "being caught up", because I am most like am not going to have time to scrap, nor have much time online.

With that said,
have a good one.

LOs 6 - 8

ETA: I uploaded the pictures again. Can you see them now?

I soooo love the Jumpstart January Challenge. I participated the last two years and I don't think I ever got more scrapping done. And though they are scraplifted LOs, I really like how most of them turned out. Still.

Anyway, there are a couple of LOs I am not going to post, but these two came about last night. Super simple, and using nothing but scraps of old, old 7gypsies PP.

Another one I did is this one:

this was a first for me. While I do lots of LOs about things Trouble #1 and especially #2 say, on this one I did the entire journaling with alpha stickers. Yikes! I was initially going to stamp the whole thing, but then I realized just how many white alpha stickers I had so I went for it. Oye.

Anyway, with this being LOs 6,7 & 8... I am ALMOST caught up. I am sort of planning on doing a LO a day. We'll see how that goes.

Have a good one.

A wedding cake

I won't be attempting to copy. For your dose of daily entertainment,

All the best to the lovely couple... I mean the bride and the groom, not the bride and her cake.

While other scrappers buy

THIS daily calendar, I bought THIS one.

And today was just too pretty not to share. So, without further ado, here's the "Shoe of January 8":

Have a good one.

And another one

I hate doing two-pagers, but I have so many pictures that I do need to do them every now and then. Good thing I am doing the Jumpstart January Challenge over at 2Peas. It is really helping me to get things done right now. I am not usually a "get it done" kind of scrapper, but with mojo not really stopping by, challenges really help.

Anyway, enough of the pointless babble...

here's the latest. PP Love Elsie, CS Bazzill, HS chipboard falloffs and that's about it. The PP is wild enough I didn't want to add anything else.

Other than that, it is raining here. I hate it. But, it is giving me opportunity to get more things done around the house. Today I am cleaning Trouble #2's room. Good thing she isn't here.... so much easier that way.

Have a good one.

Not terribly productive...

scrapping wise, so far. It's 6 days into the new year and I have only managed to complete two LOs. One I can't show... it's a bit too personal, but this is the other one:

Productivity otherwise... yeah, the basement is almost cleaned. I have a few more toys to sort through but yeah! Next week I am sorting through Trouble #1 and #2's rooms. Way too much stuff in there.

Have a good one.

Last day of school

yeah, finally. It was such a PITA and I am glad it is over, though I am officially unemployed, or rather make that "seeking employment" again. But, I have made a New Year's Resolution that this is going to be my year! It is going to be great!

So, with that in mind, I am going to school in a couple of minutes, I am going to be bored one last time, and then I am going to come home and tackle life. Well, today I am just going to "tackle" cleaning out my basement, but that is all part of the big plan.

I am telling you, it is going to be my year!

Have a good one.
