German Journaling

You might have noticed... usually all my journaling is in English. That's what I did when I started scrapping as we were living in the US and were speaking primarily English. When we moved to Germany, I continued to journal in English, because I am more comfortable doing so. But, there is the occasional LO where I recount a conversation with Trouble #1 or #2, or where I quote them... and then it more and more often, ends up being German.

Anyway, this LO, using papers from the February Paper Posies kit and lifting a LO by Cathy Blackstone on pg 87 in the Designing with Paper book, is about a conversation I had with Trouble #2 two days ago. She was terribly upset that her uncle had to leave so quickly and that she didn't get to talk to him as much as she had wanted to. So she said: I don't usually talk to people when I haven't seen them in a while. I don't dare to. Then I only nod my head when I mean yes or no. I think I am shy!

Other than that, I am working on a mini album for my neighbor. He is having a birthday party tomorrow and a local wine store and I am actually planning on going. Yeah. But, what do you give a man for his 60th birthday when you don't really know anything about him other than that he sold you your house and that him and his wife are lovely neighbors? So I asked his wife for a few pictures of her husband from childhood to now and I am putting together a little album. I hope he likes it. But, of course, I procrastinated and am just now working on it. Long night ahead of me, which really isn't good, because tomorrow Trouble #1 & #2 and I are heading into the city to pick up my lovely friend Nat and we are heading over to Scrapbook-King to pick up the materials for our Workshop Weekend in September. Yikes. It is getting close. I better get my samples into presentable shape to post some teasers.

Well, off to work some more.
Have a good one.
