Geburtstag von Stampin'Up.

The most beautiful girl...

I heard this song on the radio a few days ago and it kept popping into my head. And so, as my own personal "scrapping the music", this is what I came up with.

Supplies: PP Prima, MM, Foofala, overlay Fancy Pants (?), SU eyelets, KI alpha stickers, SU embossing powder.

Have a good one.

Hach, er ist da....

der neue Stampin'Up Katalog. Und ich kann nur sagen: Oberste Sahne!

Have a good one.

Pencil Lines Sketch 102

I don't usually scrap sketches. Well... I try, and then things take on a life of their own. But this one I really liked. Here's my take on it.

Supplies: PP Danyeela, KI, Stickles, ricrac, ki stickers.

I am heading off to work. Another long, long day... not so much the hours, but the endless boredom. But, it looks like it might be a gorgeous fall day, so heck... it might just get busy at the store.

Have a good one.

Hey.... I scrapped! (und Stampin'Up Abend)

Somehow it seems like I haven't scrapped in ages. I know I have, but... just feels like it. Anyway, my neighbor had a birthday and I made this LO for her with pictures of her daughter.

Supplies: PP CreaMotion, Martha Stewart, Alphas American Crafts, Heidi Swapp, Fancy Pants overlay, trim and ric rac.

Off to work on a super secret project. LOL.

Also, schnell noch bestellen.

Have a good one.

Shoes, shoes, and more....

you guessed it, SHOES!!!

As I mentioned, I bought a few pairs of shoes this summer. Big surprise, right?
Aside from several pairs of flip-flops and a pair of sneakers, this is what I got:

And

You might remember me posting about red shoes... oh, back in June last year, and February or March this year... when I got these

and these:

and these:

Well, I added to the collection.
Aren't these cute?

and these (in red, of course)

and my favorites:

As for my shoe dilemma yesterday, I ended up wearing my Kenneth Cole Mary Janes, but by midnight my feet were hurting enough, that I changed into a pair of brown Sketchers. It was dark, all the guests were pretty much drunk... nobody could tell the difference. I didn't get to bed until almost 5am and I can tell you... my feet are tired.

Now I am going to have myself some breakfast and enjoy the day.
Have a good one.

I never thought the day would come...

when I would say: I have no shoes to wear!

But alas, the day has come. I am filling in as waitress at the wine store tonight... fancy sit down dinner, lots of wine, the usual black pants/white shirt waiter attire. BUT... I have no black shoes. Oh, don't get me wrong, I have black shoes. Black stilettos, black sandals, black wedges, black high heeled boots, black cowboy boots, black pumps, black... I think you get my point. I have plenty of black shoes, but NO BLACK FLATS!!! (You might remember my post HERE. LOL But over the summer, unless I was wearing flip-flops, I was wearing heels, so my feet should be okay. However, I will running around with trays of drinks or food, etc. etc. on a rather uneven store floor, I don't think heels are a good choice for tonight.

So, I went to five shoe stores this morning, and yes, I found black flats. But, man, those were some ugly shoes! I just couldn't buy any. Too expensive for too ugly. I couldn't even see spending the money on a pair of perfecly plain, non-descript, boring, sort of comfortable, cheap flats, just because they were so... plain, boring, blah! I would never wear them again .

The moral of the story? I don*t think there is one, just that I really don't like flats.

Oh, and I think I promised someone I would take pictures of my new shoes (from this summer)... will get on that later this weekend.

Have a good one.

Nothing new this fine Monday!

I have been busy moving my scrap-space from my bedroom to the living room. I loved my little hiding corner in the bedroom, but really, it wasn't practical. I was so cut off from the rest of the house, that I couldn't keep track of the kids properly. And knowing Trouble #1 and #2.... they still do need keeping track off. So, after previously having decided to not ever have my scrapping space in the living room, because I am a messy scrapper and I wanted to have at least one clean/picked up room in the house, I decided differently.

So, yesterday was spent moving everything out of my big Expedit shelf. I put everything on my bed on purpose. I figured I would have to put it away before I could go to bed. Almost worked out that way, too, but the Expedit is such a pain to take apart and put together in tight spaces, that it did take me a bit longer than anticipated. Today then, I moved around some other furniture in the living room and started moving scrappy stuff into their new home. So far... I am really liking it. I still do have to make a trip to the popular swedish furniture store....LOL... I still need to get a little desk, but otherwise... looking good.

But that also means... no scrapping right now.

Hopefully by the end of the week I will have my desk and I will post pictures.

Have a good one.

Technology sucks!

Can I say that on my blog? well, who cares, it does suck!

I got a new cell phone today. Well, a "new to me" phone. My old one was slowly but surely dying... can't blame it, it's over 4 years old and it's been used and abused.... and I was trying to figure out how to save up enough pennies to buy a new phone since I didn't want to sign up for another 2-year contract or whatever it takes these days to get a free phone. And apparently people like me who don't use their phone a whole lot don't even get a new phone when they renew their contract. So I just canceled my contract and got a prepaid card.

Anyway, a customer at my store was saying how he is so into cell phones and gets the latest and greatest all the time, so he has all these old(er) but still perfectly good phones sitting around his house. Well, I ended up buying one of them from him and I am sure it is a great phone, but man, trying to get this new phone figured out seems like rocket science!!!

So, I am used to Sony Ericson.... now I have a Nokia. My brother tells me it is a great phone. But... does anyone have any hints on Nokia? I can't even send SMS right now. It is driving me nuts.

I am going to bed. And my phone will be turned off.
Have a good one.

Scrapping the Music-Girls just wanna have fun

I love that STM is doing all 80's music for their Anniversary month. This is my LO for this week's challenge. This LO also started out for the Pencillines sketch for this week, but I am not sure you can still recognize the sketch. The LO sort of took on a life of its own once I started. LOL

Supplies: PP American Crafts, MAMBI and K&Co, chipboard (?), Ranger distress crackle paint, SU eyelets, Urban Lily rubon, and ki memories alpha stickers.

And just because I played around with my new camera a bit, and Trouble #2 looked so cute smelling "her" sunflower....

Have a good one.

Yummy!

I stumbled upon THIS blog a while ago and when I saw the recipe for Malibu Strawberry Lemon Crunkcakes I HAD to try them. I was getting a bit tired of Chocolate and Vanilla... not that there is anything wrong with Chocolate and Vanilla, but... I needed something different.

And this is what the cupcakes look like from my kitchen. I didn't have any Malibu Rum, but used Coconut Syrup and Vodka instead. I also added some Vodka to the strawberry puree, kind of like Strawberry Limes. So, with all the vodka, for once it seemed fitting to photograph them in a cocktail glass.

I think I might have to use my regular buttercream rather than the Italian Meringue, because mine is a bit lighter, but still... the cupcakes are super yummy, if I may say so myself.

And now I am off to get dressed and make myself presentable.... and then I am off into the city to see the lovely Ms. Nat.

Have a good one.

Well... seems like getting back to normal....

is interfering with blogging.

Life HAS been hectic around here. Trouble #1 and #2 started at a new school this past week and between trying to figure out the new school and afterschool-program, my work-schedule, getting things put away from our trip, laundry, and a bazillion other things that had to get done... yeah, I didn't get much online time.

So, since I don't have any new LOs to show, here are a few more pictures from our trip. We did the absolutely touristy thing and took a boat tour around Manhattan. I love boats, I love the water, I love Manhattan, so what could have been better?

Lots of pictures of bridges. Did I mention that I love bridges, too?

Have a good one.

Maybe you remember

this LO? Trouble #2 always liked to climb up on the fence at her grandparent's farm and "chat" with "her" horse.

Well, 5 years later and lots of inches taller.... she still does it.

I took 1000+ pictures on vacation and it is driving me nuts to upload them to get them printed. I guess I am still old fashioned and like to hold the paper pictures, perfect or not, in hand. It is taking forever to get them uploaded. Any tips or recommendations?

Have a good one.

Waves!

Geez, did I miss scrapping, or what? Three LOs (and counting) in two days.
One of our trips was to Splish Splash, a waterpark near Riverhead, NY. We got there first thing in the morning and went down as many slides as we could. After noon or so it started getting too crowded and the lines too long. So we hung out at the wave pool for most of the afternoon. The girls loved it but though they both can swim, I was a nervous nelly. Thankfully they had life jackets there and all was well. LOL.

Supplies: CS Bazzill, PP American Crafts, Stampin'Up Eyelets, Prima chipboard buttons, chipboard letters & labels (?), Luxe Design Rubons.

Have a good one.

Stampin'Up (auf Deutsch)

Have a good one.
