In meinem höchst unwissenschaflichen Auslosungsverfahren....
Have a good one.

Good thing it's Friday!
It's been crazy busy and I have been feeling pretty "blah" all week, so I am thankful that the week is over.
I did get a few LOs scrapped.
And it looks like Trouble #3 will be staying with me for now. He has turned from a 20 pound scrawny, ribs sticking out, sad, droopy eared, mess of a dog to a 45 pounds, beautiful, healthy, and most of all STRONG German Shepard. While my mom is doing pretty good since her heart surgery, the dog is still too much. And, quite frankly, I have gotten so used to him and he is VERY attached to me... so he is staying put. Isn't he beautiful?
And just for comparison sakes, this was him exactly 3 months ago. You can't even really see how skinny he was, but it was really sad.
Have a good one.

Scrapping the Music-Germany.... #9d
It's time again for a new song over at Scrapping the Music-Germany. This weeks song is a favorite of mine and I couldn't wait to scrap it. Stop on over and be inspired.
It was a bit difficult to take a picture of the LO though, since the entire background is a Hambly overlay.
Supplies: Hambly, Heidi Swapp chipboard, SU Stamps, Prima Flower, and for the life of me, I can't remember the PP manufacturer.
Now I am going to don my wellies and walk the dog. Have a good one.
Oh, do you want to see my wellies? They sort of look like these, just black instead of blue.

Drunk cake decorating....
No, I haven't had so many cocktails (yet), that my work would qualify for THIS blog, but I am tired, and having had... oh... two Cosmopolitans... I don't think I will be getting those two dozen cupcakes decorated tonight. Trouble #1 sort of "volunteered" her Mama to make clown cupcakes. I have no idea how to make clown cupcakes. And it's my birthday and I really don't feel like figuring out how to make clown cupcakes. I guess I will have to get up early tomorrow so they are done in time for Trouble #1 to take them to school for her class party.
So, I think I will go ahead and have myself another cocktail and just hope that inspiration strikes early in the morning.... not likely.....
Have a good one.

Some more pretties....
I just couldn't stop myself.... some more "window shopping"!!!
Love the purple.
So cute, and almost sensible....
Cute, cute, cute. Love the two-tone.
Dark red patent leather. Cuteness!!!
I keep looking at these grey ones. Not too practical in typical Hamburg weather (lots of rain) but I love the style.
And the absolute most fabulous shoes I found today... completely out of my league... Stunning Jimmy Choo's.
Have a good one.

Winter has been too long....
how I know this? I haven't posted about shoes in way too long. I like boots but having been blessed with "strong" calves, I cannot really enjoy the "oh, so cute and stylish" tall boots this season. And since I never wear skirts anyway, what would be the point of squeezing my "strong" calves into oh so stylish, tall boots?
I sort of decided I wasn't going to buy anything but red shoes. Why red? Why not? And since I am still lusting after that absolutely fabulous, way out of my price range... you know, champagne taste, beer budget kind of issue, red patent leather croc purse I saw in Rome last Christmas, I figured the purse is out of my league, but shoes I can always use.
Anyway, I haven't found any red shoes that I really like yet, but I am longingly waiting for spring.... or even summer... when I could be wearing these beauties....
Now, these look like they should come in red, right?
These Dolce & Gabbana are sort of the "sensible" choice out of the bunch. But you can't go wrong with Dolce & Gabbana, right?
Now these are just too cute for their own good. TOO CUTE!!!
These... not liking the colors so much, but the style...
And then there are these red beauties....
Have a good one.

Happy Monday!
The weather is miserable... so here's a LO in summer colors! And, though my Scrapstart Challenge is over, one more lift (of January 18). No journaling yet, because my black journaling pen (that works on overlays) died on me and I haven't found a new one yet that I like. So... if you have suggestions... leave a comment. And no, the title doesn't make sense without the journaling, but... well...
Have a good one.

A little bit of this... a little bit of that....
lots of pictures today.
I did another LO for the "back to the roots" challenge. This time we were to use cardstock, not more than 2 pattern papers, pens and pictures. Still not really enough "stuff" for me, but lots better than just cardstock.
Supplies used: Cardstock Stampin'Up, PP American Crafts, Pens Stampin'Up.
And another LO I did just because...
Supplies used: PP Rose Mocha, Pink Martini, Hambly Overlay and Rubons. Felt and rub-ons (?).
AND, I am not done yet, still need do do some touch-up and clean up, and there is nothing decorated yet, but here are pictures of my newly painted guest bathroom. The girls love it. I love it.
That's it for today.

Time is flying....
I keep wanting to post-I even have LOs to post- but time keeps getting away from me. I finally managed to take pictures of the LOs, will post them later, but now I am going to paint my guest bathroom. I am getting tired of the pretty much all-white in my house. The color was going to be "mango" but then I decided on "chocolate"....
More later.
Have a good one.

I just don't "do" plain...
after doing the "back to the roots" challenge the other day and the LO taking what seemed like forever, I HAD to get out my pattern papers and inks and bling. And this LO came together in no time at all. Yes, I admit, the pattern combination might be a bit on the wild side, but heck... we are talking SATC here, somehow it seemed appropriate. And of course I had to add some bling. Oh, and of course, this is a lift of January 20th.
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill; PP Rose Mocha, Prima, Making Memories; American Crafts Thickers, Misc. bling.
Now I am off to pick up my folks and take my dad to the dentist. Did I mention that my dad in all his 60+ years had never been to the dentist, and when my mom finally convinced him to go, the dentist didn't find a single cavity? Now he is just going for a thorough cleaning, but still.... NO CAVITIES!!! I guess there is something to be said for not eating sweets.
After that we are going to look for some light fixtures. There are still 5 or 6 bare light bulbs in my house... and I have lived here for almost 2 years. Time to get some light fixtures.
Have a good one.

Catching up on my own challenge
Well, it seems that the consensus was that most or my readers didn't care one way or another whether I wrote in both German and English, so I guess I will keep doing what I was doing.... write mainly in English, but if it is something Stampin' Up Germany specific, I will write in German. Just easier for me.
So, I am catching up on my Scrapstart Challenge. I've been wanting to use up some of my Basic Grey papers. For the first time in a while I am actually looking forward to the new collections, so... some of the old had to go. These LOs are lifts of January 26 and January 19th respectively. I don't usually do two page LOs, but these two, though different sizes, sort of go together.
Supplies: PP Basic Grey "Obscure", Ranger Distress crackle paint, Fancy Pants felt,
Julie Fei-Fan Balzer Stamp, American Crafts Thickers, misc. chipboard, Glossy Glaze, Martha Stewart Glitter.
And, along the same theme, namely NYC, a LO I did for another challenge (over here), called "back to the roots". The challenge was to use only Cardstock, pens, and photos. SOOOOO not what I usually do, but heck, it's not called a challenge for nothing.
So this is what I came up with. Like I said, so not what I usually do, but I like it. Well... I don't hate it. And it works with the picture. But I had to go crazy with lots of different pattern papers right after I did this LO. Will post that one tomorrow. LOL.
Supplies: Cardstock Bazzill, pens: signo uniball, Stampin' Up.
Took the dog to obedience school again. He did really good. Didn't even take food from a stranger. HUGE success for him. Unlike yesterday, when he wasn't happy with his dinner (he has some stomach issues right now, so he only got some rice with buttermilk and medicine) and stole a big piece of the ribs I had made for supper.
That's it for today.
Have a good one.

Happy Sunday!
Damit wäre meine Januar Scrapstart Challenge erstmal vorbei.
Hättet Ihr Lust an weiteren Scraplift Challenges?
Well, that's it for my January Scrapstart Challenge. You have until February 7 to upload all your LOs to participate in teh Drawing for the RAK.
So, what now? Would you like to see more scraplift challenges? Not daily, don't think that I could handle that, but maybe once a week?
Hier sind meine Lifts für den 6. Januar und den 14. Januar.
Here are my lifts for January 6th and 14th.
Material: CS Bazzil, PP Sassafrasslass, Deja Vues´, American Crafts Thickers, Grungeboard, SU Ink, Lazar Stamp.
Material: PP American Crafts, Queen & Co Felt border, Lazar Stamps, SU Ink, American Crafts Thickers.
Now I am off to my parents' house for Sunday lunch. I love fish, anytime I don't have to fry it. LOL.
Have a good one.
