Trick or Treat

Just a couple of super easy cards I did last night. Enjoy.

Have a good one.

Wanna take a peek?

I have a few things I am working on, but am basically so tired, nothing is getting done. So, instead of actually using it, I took a few pictures of my new stash. Wanna see?

See those big black punches? My new favorite toy from Stampin' Up. There are two matching stamp sets for labels and tabs. Too cute. And I am totally diggin' that 7gypsies stamp.

In other news, Stampin' Up finally heard my pleas (okay, probably not, but I did bug them about coming to Germany, no lie) and is coming to Germany. Can't wait. Can't wait. My Demo agreement is signed and waiting to be mailed. So, once I receive my Starter Kit, watch out for some fun stamped projects.

Have a good one.

Call me Super Mom... or Sleepless in Germany

Darn Jetlag. It is almost 1am here and I am wide awake. Exhausted, but wide awake. And I have to be up in a mere 5 hours. Yeah, that anticipation is making me just more awake. Go figure.

But, with me being awake.... I got the invites for Trouble #2's birthday party done. I didn't get them done in time for an actual Halloween Party (so I guess I am not quite Super Mom material). The party is actually going to two days after, but I am thinking a bunch of German first graders are not going to care about the actual date but appreciate the additional chance to dress up. Now I just have to come up with a spooky menu and enough entertainment to keep them occupied for 4 hours.

Invites: I dug into my new stuff. And some old stuff. And did some stamping. And some glittering. And layering. And yeah, like that same bunch of first graders is going to care, but hey.... maybe the mom's are going to be impressed? Ehhhh... never mind.

Products used: CS Stampin Up and Bazzill, Tag Stampin Up, Stamp Stampin Up, Ribbon Martha Stewart, Spider "do it yourself" glitter sticker and glitter Martha Stewart, Ranger Stickles, VersaColor Ink. I am totally loving those glitter stickers. There are a bazillion of them in the package.... like I need that many glittering spiders, but you never know. Spiders might be the next owls.

Well, Trouble #1 is dealing with jet lag, too. She just woke up and refuses to go back to sleep. I better figure out a way to get her back to sleep.

Have a good one.

Back from NYC!

Yes, for you doubters out there, I did come home. Kicking and screaming, but yes, I came home. But now, more so than ever, I know I need to go back and stay.

Anyway, I am halfway done unpacking, burried in laundry, and otherwise beat. I have school in the morning, so I will only leave you with proof that I REALLY was in NYC: The alleged #3 most popular tourist attraction, none other than the

I have no idea who the chick is, but I wasn't going to pose myself. To quote Trouble #1: "He is gross!"

Off to bed I go. More tomorrow.
Have a good one.

Hello from NYC

Just checkin' in really quick.

Got to NY three days ago and it feels like I never left. Trouble #1 and #2 are completely overwhelmed and on mental overload, but I am loving it.

And, after all, I usually talk about scrapbooking, I went to Michael's yesterday (by myself, no children to chase!!!) and about started moaning. I used to hate Michael's, but a) it has changed somewhat over the last three years and expanded its scrapbook section, and b) I haven't really been able to hit a real craftstore in over 3 years. So.... I left the store $200 poorer and plan on going back.

Anyway, off to spend some familytime, have a good one.

At precisely this moment tomorrow

provided there are no unforseen delays at the airport, we will be taking off on our little vacation. So, unless supply shopping counts as scrapbooking, no scrapping for me for the next 10 days. Oh, the sacrifice!

Anyway, Trouble #1 and #2 are getting antsy, I am trying to get things packed and picked up around the house and well... that's about it from around here.

Have a good one.

What kind of (American) English do you speak?

I found this little survey on another blog and thought it was cute. Considering that I lived in the Midwest for 14 years.... the result's...mmhhhh, odd, if you ask me.

Your Linguistic Profile:

75% General American English

15% Dixie

5% Yankee

0% Midwestern

0% Upper Midwestern

Channeling Christiane!

The mini album Christiane did for her Workshop in Hamburg was just too cute and I had to make one for myself. But rather than using her topic "Senses" I turned it into a homage to my favorite city. I don't have pictures yet but.... in another 5 days I will be there to take pictures to my heart's content. Here's what I have so far.

I also did two LOs for Pencillines Challenges this week. I don't do 2pagers nor really minibooks based on sketches, so here's my take on Sketches #1 Year anniversary and #52a

So, that's what I have been up to. Have a good one.

Blog Love

Just because I really haven't done much scrapping ... still recouperating from our WS weekend and all, and what I did get done isn't quite done yet, so something totally unrelated to scrapping and shoes....but you all know I love baking and cooking. I especially love to experiment with different spices and ingredients. I love Italian food, Indian, Chinese, Sushi, I especially LOVE Thai food and anything spicy. But I also love some good old fashioned home cooking. Traditional German food....not my thing, but American? Sign me up. I love THIS blog. Nothing like good ole' artery clogging home cooking. In big batches. Home cooking. Nothing fancy, but all flavor. Really fattening. REALLY Yummy! Check it out. It is good!

Have a good one.

Exhausted but exhilarated

That's pretty much my current state.

The Workshop Weekend in Hamburg was fabulous. There were lots of students, some we knew, some we didn't, some "old" scrappers, some new ones.... and, as far as I can tell, they all had a great time. Hence the "exhilarated" part. But with all the preparations and anticipation, sleep was hard to come by and being on my feet and running around and "on" all day for two days.... that's the "exhausted" part. But, I can say at least for myself, it was definitely worth it.

I did not take a single picture. There were cameras galore and I relished the fact that there were going to be plenty of pictures without me having to worry about taking them. And.... I was actually going to be IN the pictures. I keep joking that my children are orphans, you know. I am always the one behind the camera, so I hardly ever show up in any of their LOs.

Anyway, as for my card WS, I think it went really well. We didn't get all the cards done as I had hoped, but everyone had fun getting all glittered up. Here are my sample cards:

Trouble #1 and #2 have today through Wednesday off, we better go and enjoy the weather. It was lousy all weekend, but today it looks like it might actually turn out to be a beautiful day.

Have a good one.
