Funny girl....

As you might have noticed, Trouble #2 comes up with the craziest things. And she did it again this past weekend.

Journaling: Conversation after breakfast...
T#2: Now the tank is filled.
Loud burp!
T#2: that means the tank is filled!

I guess she isn't going to turn into a little lady anytime soon.

And then, this morning, I noticed this poppy in my yard. I love poppies. Poppies make me happy. I just wish they would last longer.

Have a good one.

Yummy!

Seems with the good weather, mojo returned. I am having fun scrapping again.

Supplies: this, that and the other from my PP scraps, Stickles, BG alpha stickers, HS chipboard letters, Creative Imaginations rub on.

Have a good one.

Have I shown these yet?/Hab ich diese schon gezeigt?

I made these 8x8 LOs a while ago, when Wally at Paperbraut asked for help with creating store samples. Nothing fancy, but it was fun scrapping this format for a change.

Have a good one.

Gibt es irgendwo ein nirgendwo? (is there a nowhere somewhere?)

yes, that's the question Trouble #2 posed the other day. And that is what prompted this LO. Her little brain comes up with the oddest things and I am constantly reminded that I am not nearly as smart as I'd like to think.

Supplies: this, that, and the other.... from my PP scraps, grungeboard, SU eyelets, Fancy Pants rub ons, FooFala rub on.

Now I have a couple of quiet hours for myself. T#1 and #2 went with the neighbors to pedalboat. I am going to use this time for some baking.

Have a good one.

Dream Big

Yes... I actually have something else to post. I can hardly believe it myself. But, when I was at Scrapbook-King this past weekend I found the adorable Kaisercraft Skull album. And the new MM Just Chillin' Boy papers were perfect as well. I was going to use the paper with the guitar, which is really why I liked the collection so much, but then I just couldn't cut it up.

Anyway, to work I went... and it came together in a snap. Trouble #2 is very specific when talking about what she wants to be when she grows up. And I loved the contrast of her in her sweet girly outfit, which she loves.... and her determination to become a rockstar. But that is so Trouble #2.

Enjoy.

Are you in shock?

Seid ihr geschockt? 3 posts in weniger als einer Woche?

3 posts in less than a week? Can you handle that?

Also... ein rundum fantastischer Tag.

I was actually pretty productive these last couple of days. On Saturday I had the pleasure of taking a class with Nat at Scrapbook-King. I have a hard time doing mini-albums, so I jumped at the chance to a) take a class with Nat, b) shop at an actual scrapbookstore, rather than online, and c) have almost an entire day devoted to scrapping. The class was fabulous as expected. I spent more money than planned... which was to be expected. And Trouble #2 had so much fun playing with the King's little girl, I barely knew she was there. So.... a fabulous day, indeed.

Und hier ist mein fertiges Album. Ich bin von mir selbst ganz begeistert. Grins.

And here is my finished mini album. I love how it turned out.

Supplies: Prima album/PP/lace/alpha stickers, misc. ribbon, Creative Imaginations (?) rub ons, MM paint.

Have a good one.

Scrapping the Music-Germany

This week's song at Scrapping the Music-Germany is a bit unusual.... "Für mich soll's Rote Rosen regnen" (For me, it shall rain red roses), as a duet by Hildegard Knef, world-renowned German chanson singer and Extrabreit, a band mostly successful during the "Neue Deutsche Welle" in the late 70's and early 80's. I love the song and this is what I came up with.

Have a good one.

Still alive....

I THINK that I was able to fix my computer.... maybe.... possibly.... at least it is running right now.... so I better post some LOs.

Thanks to Nat who is on the Rose Moka DT, I have been able to play with some of the gorgeous new papers. Love, love, love them.

So, without further ado... enjoy!

Have a good one.

I don't know what it is....

Spring is kicking me in the arse. (Ooops, can I say that? I suppose... it's my blog) Anyway, I cannot get my act together to get anything done, other than the things that HAVE to get done.

Which... at this moment, is preparations for Trouble #1's birthday party on Friday. The theme is "Come with me to NY" and my wonderful friend Nat Kalbach agreed to teach her Canvas Class (it's the second film down). So there we will be, with 11 eager (hopefully... but I know Trouble #1 is) little girls... oops, young ladies... creating to our hearts content. Preparations for that part are pretty much done. All the supplies are bought.

Which leads me to the second part, the cake! Trouble #1 asked for a Topsy Turvy cake.... examples can be seen here. I have never made a Topsy Turvy Cake. Oye! What did I get myself into? And to make matters worse, my "black box" AKA power converter for my small kitchen appliances, stopped working. HORROR! I am completely helpless without my big KitchenAid! Or my blender! Or my heatgun! Actually, I don't really need the heatgun, but still.... for cake, I need the KitchenAid. No KitchenAid, no buttercream. Hopefully my dad will be able to figure out what is wrong with the "black box", so I can start baking cakes.

Anyway, long story short, despite the long weekend, where I really could have gotten loads of things done, nothing got done. And once the kids went back to school, still nothing got done. Hopefully today will be better.

And since I have no pictures to post.... here's a picture of Sunny, my mom's new dog. Trouble #3, who was supposed to be my mom's dog, really grew into a pretty big and strong dog, and he did grow super attached to us, so he stayed with us. Into the picture comes Sunny, because my mom just cannot be without a dog. He is a cute little guy, a bit hyper for my taste, and definitely too small for my taste, but he gets along well with Trouble #3, so that's what counts. And, I realize he is a "he", but he can be a real Diva!

Nothing else to say.... so have a good one.
