Scrapping the Music-Girls just wanna have fun

I love that STM is doing all 80's music for their Anniversary month. This is my LO for this week's challenge. This LO also started out for the Pencillines sketch for this week, but I am not sure you can still recognize the sketch. The LO sort of took on a life of its own once I started. LOL

Supplies: PP American Crafts, MAMBI and K&Co, chipboard (?), Ranger distress crackle paint, SU eyelets, Urban Lily rubon, and ki memories alpha stickers.

And just because I played around with my new camera a bit, and Trouble #2 looked so cute smelling "her" sunflower....

Have a good one.

Yummy!

I stumbled upon THIS blog a while ago and when I saw the recipe for Malibu Strawberry Lemon Crunkcakes I HAD to try them. I was getting a bit tired of Chocolate and Vanilla... not that there is anything wrong with Chocolate and Vanilla, but... I needed something different.

And this is what the cupcakes look like from my kitchen. I didn't have any Malibu Rum, but used Coconut Syrup and Vodka instead. I also added some Vodka to the strawberry puree, kind of like Strawberry Limes. So, with all the vodka, for once it seemed fitting to photograph them in a cocktail glass.

I think I might have to use my regular buttercream rather than the Italian Meringue, because mine is a bit lighter, but still... the cupcakes are super yummy, if I may say so myself.

And now I am off to get dressed and make myself presentable.... and then I am off into the city to see the lovely Ms. Nat.

Have a good one.

Well... seems like getting back to normal....

is interfering with blogging.

Life HAS been hectic around here. Trouble #1 and #2 started at a new school this past week and between trying to figure out the new school and afterschool-program, my work-schedule, getting things put away from our trip, laundry, and a bazillion other things that had to get done... yeah, I didn't get much online time.

So, since I don't have any new LOs to show, here are a few more pictures from our trip. We did the absolutely touristy thing and took a boat tour around Manhattan. I love boats, I love the water, I love Manhattan, so what could have been better?

Lots of pictures of bridges. Did I mention that I love bridges, too?

Have a good one.

Maybe you remember

this LO? Trouble #2 always liked to climb up on the fence at her grandparent's farm and "chat" with "her" horse.

Well, 5 years later and lots of inches taller.... she still does it.

I took 1000+ pictures on vacation and it is driving me nuts to upload them to get them printed. I guess I am still old fashioned and like to hold the paper pictures, perfect or not, in hand. It is taking forever to get them uploaded. Any tips or recommendations?

Have a good one.

Waves!

Geez, did I miss scrapping, or what? Three LOs (and counting) in two days.
One of our trips was to Splish Splash, a waterpark near Riverhead, NY. We got there first thing in the morning and went down as many slides as we could. After noon or so it started getting too crowded and the lines too long. So we hung out at the wave pool for most of the afternoon. The girls loved it but though they both can swim, I was a nervous nelly. Thankfully they had life jackets there and all was well. LOL.

Supplies: CS Bazzill, PP American Crafts, Stampin'Up Eyelets, Prima chipboard buttons, chipboard letters & labels (?), Luxe Design Rubons.

Have a good one.

Stampin'Up (auf Deutsch)

Have a good one.
